Al Capone’s Car
Have you ever wanted to feel like you’re a 20’s and 30’s era gangster? Well now Is your chance, you can own Al Capone’s former vehicle, a bulletproof 1928 Cadillac, listed at 1 million dollars. Celebrity Cars, the company selling the vehicle, says the car is one of the earliest bullet proof vehicles still around. The car is like a mini tank, it has glass that’s almost an inch think and lined with nearly 3,000 pounds of armor plating.
The four-speed manual transmission vehicle has logged over 1,111 miles. According to Celebrity Cars, the rear window has been modified so it can be dropped so they can fire upon would be pursuers. The circular cutout is large enough to hold the muzzle of a machine gun.
The car has been documented since 1932 and can be tracked through old newspapers, recent owner accounts, and IRS records. Apparently when Capone wanted the car built he was told “we don’t do that kind of work here”, his reply……. YOU DO NOW!
