This Lake Tahoe Home For Sale Looks Normal Until You Look Inside

The Mannequin House

You wouldn’t expect to find a house full of creepy mannequins inside of a South Lake Tahoe, California home. From the outside everything looks normal, that is until you walk inside. The property looks a bit like a 70’s era mess with the shaggy green carpet. It kind of looks like a scene from the movie “Boogie Nights.” There’s a lot of outdated décor and furniture all around, but that’s not the creepy part. In every room, you can find mannequins, some in evening gowns, and others with human life features displayed in various ways.

The 5 bedroom 2,116 square feet home was built in 1962, and it seems as if it didn’t leave 1962. The home listed for a mere $650,000 could be a fixer-upper, then again a haunted house. It still remains a mystery why there are so many dummies inside of the house. Maybe a designer or some kind of ventriloquist lived in the house. Others speculate the owners wanted to play a joke on all those who came to buy the house. I don’t think anyone would want to play a joke, especially when there’s 650 grand on the table.

The Creepy House

Whoever buys the house buys it as is. That means you get to keep all the décor and all of the creepy guests that are inside of the house. I imagine there are some rooms that aren’t listed on the site, so you may find something else if you end up buying it.
