The Addams Family Are Back!

Tim Burton and Addams Family fans were super excited to learn the news recently. A live-action TV remake of The Addams Family is being redone by none other than Tim Burton himself. Burton along with Smallville executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, are going to bring back our favorite spooky family The Addams Family to television.

Thinking about Tim Burton heading this project is like a kid walking into a candy store. Most of us can already imagine how this is going to play out. Not a lot is known about the new Addams Family, but what is known is that it’s going to be told from the perspective of Wednesday Adams. This will be the first time Tim Burton takes hold of the project. Many thought he had something to do with it in the past, but he actually didn’t.

Right now fans are chiming in on who should play the role of Gomez. They all agree that Johnny Depp should be the front runner. As for Morticia, fans are saying that Eva Green should play the role of Morticia. I honestly think that would be an awesome pair for the roles, They would really nail the parts given their history in creepy and spooky movies.

What are your thoughts on this? I just hope they bring back Christina Ricci somehow!

Evan Peters who starred in 8 seasons of the show is one of those who have been affected by his roles. He ended up not partaking in season 9 because the show was taking a toll on his mental health. It’s where the actor fully immerses themselves within a role on and off set. They become the character they are playing and sometimes this can go bad.

Cursed Movie Sets

Some movies are said to have some bad luck behind them. From problems on sets to location malfunctions and even deaths on and off set. There are those who say it’s a coincidence and nothing more, but is it? Could it be that the energy of the movie is producing a negative aura around the cast and crew?.

Yet, there are some movies that make you think. The type of movies that have to do with extreme cases of demonic possession and paranormal activity. Could it be the accidents are in some way related to or caused by the bad aura behind the projects?

Let’s take a look back and think about some of the sets that have been plagued with bad luck. The first one that comes to mind is the 1982 horror movie Poltergeist. It was the movie about where they built houses on a cemetery and the angry spirits target a young girl in a family. Many of the cast including the little girl who played the role of “Carol Ann” died.

There were numerous odd things that happen on and off the set. Things that some would say it’s a coincidence while others might not. Edgar Allan Poe Stallone Movie

Yup you’re hearing right, Rocky Balboa himself Sylvester Stallone has always wanted to make a movie about Edgar Allan Poe. Some of you are probably thinking that would probably never work right? We’re used to the likes of Rocky and Rambo among many of his other actions movies.

Edgar Allan Poe wasn’t know for wielding weapons, or his fighting skills, he was known for his stories. So how would a movie about Edgar Allan Poe be told by Sylvester Stallone?

Apparently this is something that he has wanted to do for a very long time, about 50 years to be exact. At one time he even got the costume for the role, but he knew he wasn’t good for the part. It never made it past an idea, but he hasn’t given up.

Early last year he told Men’s Health he had numerous screenplays for the idea. He said even his producer didn’t take him very serious when he mentioned it. So the real question we all probably still have on our minds is…

Could it work?

We saw what Sly did with Rocky and many other movies. I honestly think he could make it work in a way that it would eventually become a classic. Call me crazy, but I think it would really work if he was given the opportunity. Let’s just hope it happens within the next few years, what do you think?

Pet Semetary Filming Location Film

Your chance to watch one of Stephen King’s most terrifying and iconic movies is coming this September. Once again On Set Cinema is back and giving you the chance to watch Pet Semetary at the actual Pet Semetary filming location in Ellsworth, Maine.

The film will be shown where the actual “Pet Semetary” sign in the movie once stood. So you’ll have the chance to watch the film right where all the madness took place. Don’t worry the place isn’t cursed by the Wendigo or any other horrifying creatures. You also don’t have to worry about any dead things popping back up during the movie.

On Saturday, September 19^th there will be 2 showings of the horror classic. 7 and 9pm, however the 7 showing is already sold out, so you don’t want to miss this chance. You’ll be able to dress up and watch the movie and also take pictures and tour the area.

Inspiration Behind Candyman

Jordan Peeles reboot of the the 1992 iconic horror movie “Candyman” hit theaters last year with a vengeance. We thought it would be fitting to showcase where the inspiration behind the terrifying character. In the movie the Candyman is an urban legend who draws his power from those who believe in him. Anyone who calls his name 5 times in a mirror summons him and eventually becomes his victim.

The character was based off of 2 inspirations, both are pretty terrifying urban legends that we’ve all heard about at some point in our life. The first was that of the legend of Bloody Mary, which is obvious from the fact that you can summon him through a mirror just like Bloody Mary.

The other inspiration is the reason the character has a hook. It comes from the old urban legend where a young couple is in a car in lonely area. They hear a radio report of a mental patient that escaped with a hook for a hand. They end up hearing something outside of the car, the boyfriend investigates and doesn’t end up coming back. The girlfriend goes to see where he is and finds he’s been killed by the hook arm killer.

It seems like just yesterday there as a Halloween movie. However many aren’t caring because of the utter excitement behind Halloween Kills. The movie due to be launched this fall, people are expecting something great. According to one of the Halloween Kills stars Anthony Michael Hall, it’s the “MOST INTENSE’ of the franchise yet.

Anthony Michael Hall will be playing the role of an adult Tommy Doyle, so no reboots or new stories, John Carpenter gave his seal of approval on this one so don’t expect any crazy changes from the original story.

The inclusion of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Nick Castle returning as Michael Myers, this one sounds like it could one day be a horror classic.

The Halloween Kills test screenings has had a HUGE amount of positive reactions from audiences. Usually when that happens that means the movie is good, then again you really can’t go wrong with the cast they have for it.

The new movie will focus on a darker version of Michael Myers like the one in the 2018 reboot. Some say that this is because he has been locked up for all those years and had a lot of pinned up dark energy to get out. It will be interesting to see what direction they will take with this one, I know one thing is for sure we can’t wait for it, can you?

They’re Only Noodles Micheal

It seemed as if all hope was lost for the Lost Boys television series, but finally after a lot of debate and turmoil behind the scenes, the CW is ordering 2 pilot episodes. The feature won’t show the original cast they had intended but will work with an entirely different one. They are also going to use Marcos Siega( The Vampire Diaries) as the new director.

The good and the bad…

The creators felt like there was a lot to go back on for the show, and that they felt like they needed to revise a lot of it and the angle they hope to go in. The new tagline for the show is going to follow the same premise of the original movie. I think fans will enjoy the premise behind this, because honestly the remakes and follow ups were terrible.

For those of you who haven’t or don’t know about the original movie. The logline follows : “ When a mother and her Gen Z sons move to a town by the seaside where she grew up. The end up discovering why all the in crowd kids sleep all day and party all night, never grow up or old.”

Will it work?

We’ve seen the past movies that have come into play, and did those work? Nope, but they went left field with the story so who knows how this will work. Let’s just hope it doesn’t feature sparkly vampires who whine about being immortal. Most of us can agree we’ve had enough of that.

The Witches Are Coming

2020’s “The Pale Horse” is the adaptation of Agatha Christies 1961 novel “ The Pale Horse” which follows the story of a woman who name appears on a list found inside the shoe of a dead woman. The story goes into how exactly did the list get inside of the dead woman’s show, and why?

This leads to an intensive investigation that leads back to 3 women at the “Pale Horse” that are rumored to be witches. The investigator hears stories about witches and spells and all kinds of odd things start to happen. However the investigator still tries to come up with a common rational explanation for the events that have and are unfolding.

The 2 episode limited series will be hitting Amazon Prime on March 13, 2020. Will you be looking out for it or passing on this one?

What else could be better than to watch some horror movies in Salem, Massachusetts? This year they are taking it a bit further with their new immersive screenings. The Salem Horror Fest runs from October 1^st through October 11, 2020, and will play John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness, Tales from the Crypt, and the original Demon Knight inside the walls of a former old church.

Wait what? Yup, you heard that right; it will be screened on the wall of an old church! The other cool thing is that it’s Prom Night’s 40^th anniversary. The screenings will all you to see the classic slasher movie in an old school dance setting.

We’re going to prom ladies and gentleman.

Besides the screenings the festival this year boasts that they are planning on having some other really cool and new activities for people of all ages.
