The Salem Horror Fest Is Going Virtual This Halloween And They Want Your Ideas

The Salem Horror Fest

Like most Halloween events, festivals, and parades that were supposed to take place this ear, the annual Salem Horror Fest had to make a quick decision. They decided not to fully cancel the event but instead move it online.  This year is going to be very different; however, the scares are going to be the same.

They took a different approach this year by accepting pitches for program ideas like podcasts, lectures, submissions and more. They want to involve the horror community in this year’s event. This will make people feel a bit more connected since they can’t actually go to the event.

The Official website states the following:

“While Salem is unsafe and Hollywood is on hold, we are determined to keep the spirit alive by creating a unique festival experience that is 100% focused on the community by elevating as many voices as we possibly can. This your chance to pitch an article, podcast, panel, film, lecture, evil mastermind plan – whatever! This year’s program will be crowdsourced to deliver the ultimate horror fan experience. Did we mention all participants will be paid? Show us what ya got.”

Do you have an idea that you would love to get looked at? Head over to and let them know your idea!
