You Can Spend Halloween Night Locked In a Haunted Jail Escape RoomYou Can Spend Halloween Night Locked In a Haunted Jail Escape Room

The Haunted Halloween Escape Room

If your idea of Halloween is spending the night in an escape room, this is right up your alley. Located about an hour from Toronto in Cobourg is the King George Inn. It’s the only escape room you can stay and explore in a real haunted jail. For a price of $150 per person, you get a 4-course meal, ghost hunt, accommodations in a jail cell, the escape room adventure, and a souvenir.

If you don’t want to stay the night or want to spend less, they do have other options. The lowest-priced option is $40 dollars, and you’re still going to get the scare of a lifetime. According to the inn’s website, Cobourg jail was one of the largest in its day, holding almost 100 prisoners. The location now operates as a hotel and is open to the public on any given day. However, during Halloween, they have a special event in the form of a haunted escape room.

The Haunted Jail

Who knows what you’ll see and hear while inside of the old jail. Could it be part of the show or could it be part of the permanent residents that haven’t left the building? One thing is for sure, the location is beyond haunted, and there are plenty of stories of spooky things going on.  Would you be brave enough to go and visit?

The Original Hocus Pocus Movie

The iconic classic Halloween movie Hocus Pocus is a favorite for many of us. But how many of you actually knew that the original title was something different? How many of you knew that the story behind it completely changed because of some unwanted rivalry? If you’re a die-hard fan you probably already knew some of this. However, those of you that don’t you’re in for a treat today.

Hocus Pocus, The Timeless Classic

It’s crazy to think that the film’s original product David Kirschner came up for the idea one night on a random happening. He was sitting with his young daughter when a black cat walked by. The idea for the movie instantly popped into his head. However, the original idea was a lot darker. Do you think the dark plot would have been better than the one we have been used to?

Hocus Pocus 2

With the release of Hocus Pocus 2, it caused a massive surge of fans to visit Salem, Massachusetts. There was also a contest where 1 lucky fan would get to stay the night in the Sanderson Sisters cottage. So if you’re planning a quick trip to Salem anytime soon and don’t have any reservations, you may want to go elsewhere. Although some fans may be upset about that news, I’m sure the possibility of a Hocus Pocus 3 movie is keeping them happy!

The Halloween Light Show

With Halloween fast approaching, you can feel the spooky vibe in the Autumn air. Michigan’s Glenlore Trails haunted trails, which is about a half-mile outdoor path in Commerce Township is one of those places. They have transformed the trail into a psychedelic adventure this Halloween season.

The walking path has been transformed into something out of a Tim Burton movie. The walk comes equipped with projection, lighting, and other sensory elements that will make you think you’re on a different planet. This is a safe alternative to other Halloween events, they will have safety protocols in place. The entire walk will take about 40 minutes tom complete, depending on how long you spend looking at things.
