It’s one of Pennsylvania’s last remaining homes that the famous macabre author Edgar Allan Poe lived in. And today we’re going to take you on a journey throughout the historic house. Although Poe lived in many houses in the Philly area, this is the last remaining one in Pennsylvania. However, his other homes in Maryland and North Carolina are still standing and you can visit.
While living in Pennyslvania he came up with some of his timeless work like ” The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Murders In The Rue Morgue,” and “The Gold Bug.”
Today you can sort of walk around the house and see what he saw on a regular basis. Do you think he drew inspiration for his stories from his surroundings or something else? Do you think Poe hid some of his work inside of one of the houses that still remain standing?
