Ottawa's Luxurious And Haunted Hotel
The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is one of Ottawa's most luxurious hotels that's frequently visited by mortgage brokers, financial investment elites, celebrities, and other power players. This monstrous hotel is 660,000 square-foot with 429 guest rooms and is an amazing site to see inside and out. It’s been open for over a hundred years and has remained as one of Ottowa’s most finest hotels.
The man who commissioned the Château Laurier, Charles Melville died on the Titanic just 12 days before completion of the hotel. It’s said that his ghost didn’t rest with the Titanic, it actually came back to the hotel. Now guests and workers have seen the ghost of Charles Melville angrily walking around the halls of the Château Laurier.
